失われし予言
11の世継の中、7つの予兆より出で、
猟犬（のように猛きもの）ならず、Guar（のように弱きもの）ならず、種ともまぐわとも違う者。
竜のごとき強気生まれにて はるかな星にしるしづけられ
外より至りし聖者の転生、Red Mountain の奥底に下る。
聖なるまろうど、7つの呪いをくみふせ
星の恵みを受けし腕にて3度のろわれたる刃をふるう、
必滅の血筋がもたらした栄華を刈り取るために。
※unmournedは 死んでも嘆かれもしない という意味ですから、死んで当然 という風に解釈して訳した

※Moon-and-StarはNerevarの指輪であり、また彼自身を暗喩的に指す
※the VelothはDunmerのこと。昔DunmerはVelothに導かれてこの地に移民した

| first trial On a certain day to uncertain parents Incarnate moon and star reborn. |
第一の試練 ある日誰とも知れぬ父母より 月星の栄光を受けし化身がよみがえらん |
| second trial Neither blight nor age can harm him. The Curse-of-Flesh before him flies. |
第二の試練 病も時もかの者を傷つけぬ かの者の前にては、肉の呪いも逃げ去らん |
| third trial In caverns dark Azura's eye sees And makes to shine the moon and star. |
第三の試練 Azuraの瞳は洞窟の暗闇ですら見通し 月星の栄光を輝かせん |
| fourth trial A stranger's voice unites the Houses. Three Halls call him Hortator. |
第四の試練 外より至りしものの声、家々を結びあわせん 3つの家々、かの者をHortatorと呼ばん |
| fifth trial A stranger's hand unites the Veloth. Four Tribes call him Nerevarine. |
第5の試練 外より至りしものの手、Velothの末裔を結ばん 4つの一族、かの者をNerevarineと呼ばん |
| sixth trial He honors blood of the tribe unmourned. He eats their sin, and is reborn. |
第6の試練 かの者、呪われた一族の血さえも尊びし者 その者らの罪を消し、生まれ変わらせる力あり |
| seventh trial His mercy frees the cursed false gods, Binds the broken, redeems the mad. |
第7の試練 かの者の慈悲は呪われし偽りの神々を解放す 戒めは取り除かれ、狂いし者を救い出さん |
| one destiny He speaks the law for Veloth's people. He speaks for their land, and names them great. |
